Expose the MART endpoint

When you make updates to Edge through the UI or management APIs (for example, adding an API product or Developer App), the runtime plane needs to be able to retrieve those changes. To receive management plane updates for API products, developers, developer apps, caches, and KVM entries, you must expose the MART service endpoint publicly.

For example, if you are running Kubernetes on a Cloud provider, you can configure a Kubernetes LoadBalancer in overrides.yaml, as the following example shows:

  serviceType: LoadBalancer

By default, the MART endpoint uses port 443 with SSL pre-configured using a self-signed certificate. If you want to switch to your own properly CA-signed certificate, configure sslKeyPath and sslCertPath in your overrides.yaml. For details on this configuration, see Configuring SSL and encryption keys for MART.
