Setting the session timeout in the New Edge UI

By default, a session in the New Edge UI expires 12 hours after login. That means New Edge UI users have to log in again after the session expires.

You can configure the session timeout by setting the conf_uebe_authsessiontimeout property in the /opt/apigee/customer/application/management-ui.properties file.

To set this property:

  1. Open the management-ui.properties file in an editor. If the file does not exist, create it:
    vi /opt/apigee/customer/application/management-ui.properties
  2. Set conf_uebe_authsessiontimeout as an integer number of hours (default is 12) or a duration string with a time unit (such as m for minutes or h for hours).

    For example, to set the session timeout to 24 hours:

    conf_uebe_authsessiontimeout=24h
  3. Save your changes.
  4. Make sure the properties file is owned by the apigee user:
    chown apigee:apigee /opt/apigee/customer/application/management-ui.properties
  5. Restart the New Edge UI:
    /opt/apigee/apigee-service/bin/apigee-service edge-management-ui restart
