UI modifications

You can customize branding and support contact settings in the New Edge UI (edge-management-ui) to provide a more cohesive experience for your organization and ensure that support questions are routed to the right team:

  • Support contact email (conf_uebe_branding_contactEmailSupport): The support email address used by the New Edge UI (default is support@apigee.com).
  • Short company name (conf_uebe_branding_companyNameShort): The short company name used in the New Edge UI and generated email templates through the {companyNameShort} placeholder (default is Apigee).
  • Full company name (conf_uebe_branding_companyNameLong): The full company name used in branding settings (default is Apigee Corp.).

You make these changes by editing /opt/apigee/customer/application/management-ui.properties using the Code with config (CwC) technique.

Configure branding and support contact settings

To configure branding and support contact properties in the New Edge UI:

  1. Open the /opt/apigee/customer/application/management-ui.properties file in an editor. If the file does not exist, create it: 
    vi /opt/apigee/customer/application/management-ui.properties
  2. Set the branding properties as needed. For example: 
    conf_uebe_branding_contactEmailSupport="api-support@mycompany.com"
conf_uebe_branding_companyNameShort="My Company"
conf_uebe_branding_companyNameLong="My Company, Inc."
  3. Save your changes.
  4. Make sure the file is owned by apigee:apigee: 
    chown apigee:apigee /opt/apigee/customer/application/management-ui.properties
  5. Restart the New Edge UI service: 
    /opt/apigee/apigee-service/bin/apigee-service edge-management-ui restart
