Expire a published rate plan

You cannot delete a rate plan after it's published, but you can expire the rate plan and optionally replace it with a future rate plan.

If a rate plan has no End Date specified, you can expire the rate plan using one of the following methods:

• Create a future rate plan. The parent rate plan will expire automatically on the date that the future rate plan starts.
• Expire the rate plan by specifying an End Date. You can set the end date to today or a date in the future. For more information, see:
  • Editing a rate plan draft using the UI
  • Editing a rate plan draft using the API

If a rate plan has an End Date specified, you cannot change its expiration date. You can create a future rate plan and set it to become effective on a date after the parent rate plan expiration date, as described in Create future rate plans.
