New features and enhancements

Protection rule search

You can now locate protection rules you've created by searching for rule characteristics such as rule name or IP address.

In the Apigee Sense console, see the Protection > Rules page. On the Protection Rules page, enter text in the search box at the top of the page.

IP address bulk upload

With this release, you can upload a text file containing IP addresses that you want to be used to block, allow, or flag requests.

A file containing IP addresses to upload must contain one address per line. No more than 3000 addresses may be added, either individually or through bulk upload.

In the Apigee Sense console, see the Protection > Rules page. On the Protection Rules page, click Create Rule. In the Compose Rule dialog, under Dimension, select IP Address. To upload a file containing addresses, click Upload File, then browse for the file to upload. In the Add IP Addresses dialog, verify that the list of IP addresses to upload is as it should be. Note that addresses with errors will not be added.

Email addresses no longer shown for rules

To support greater privacy, the Protection Rules and Detection Rules pages will no longer show created_by and updated_by email addresses. This information will still be available. To obtain it, file a ticket with the support team.

Protection rule pagination

With this release, you can page through long lists of protection rules by clicking the page forward and back buttons in the upper right corner of the Protection Rules page.
