If you restrict the audience for your portal to one or more email addresses or domains and then remove the restriction, all users will be blocked from registering. This issue has been fixed; if you remove all restrictions on the portal, any user can register as expected.

If you have over 100 registered users on the portal, you could only view the first 100 users in the Users list. The others were not listed and there was no way to display them. This issue has been fixed; all registered users are displayed on the single page.

If you created a Beta portal and configured custom SMTP settings anytime after Release 18.12.18.00, your user account creation process would fail. In this case, the identity provider server was unable to communicate with your custom SMTP server due to data corruption. This issue has been fixed; the data now gets stored correctly so the identity provider server can communicate properly with the SMTP server.

In addition, the "from" address for users who had custom SMTP settings was not propertly overriden. If the SMTP server had validation on the SMTP from address, the emails would fail to verify and send. The SMTP from address is now overridden on all users with custom SMTP settings.

If you created a Beta portal and configured custom SMTP settings anytime after Release 18.12.18.00, your user account creation process would fail. An issue with reorganizing menu items using drag-and-drop has been fixed.

120131643 Edge UI reCAPTCHA integration

Using the original version of a portal (not the Beta version), when registering for an account or requesting a new secure login link reCAPTCHA is now integrated and users are required to validate they are not a robot by selecting a checkbox and selecting images. If users receive an error when signing in, instruct them to clear their cache and reload the page.
80131755 Developer Portal Viewing APIs that do not have a spec associated should be handled gracefully

On the Beta version of the portal, attempting to navigate to an API that does not have a specification associated now redirects to a 404 page.
78880645 Developer Portal Allow theme editor preview to remain on same page during a preview reload

Using the Beta version of the theme editor, preview reloads will redisplay the current page (not redirect back to the home page) and the style refresh will be faster.

When registering an app in a new portal, you must now select at least one API. If you remove all APIs from an app, you will be prevented from creating API keys.

When registering an app in the previous version of the portal, all APIs are selected by default. You can remove APIs from an app, but you must retain at least one API per app. You cannot register an app if no APIs are published.

Istio services support for API products

A new Istio Services field has been added to the API Products UI. Use this field to enter one or more Istio service names to bind to the API product. A service name is a unique identifier for the service that you are binding. For example: helloworld.default.svc.cluster.local. Binding associates a service deployed to an Istio service mesh with the API product. You use this feature when configuring the Apigee Adapter for Istio, which is scheduled to be released soon. Release 18.01.16.00

Apigee is aware of a recently disclosed vulnerability known as CVE-2017-5754 (Meltdown) that has existed for awhile in processor architectures from Intel, AMD and ARM. This release patches the underlying Apigee Edge portal and specification store infrastructure to guard against exploits.

Note: Based on our analysis, we have determined that Apigee Edge runtime and management services are not directly affected by this vulnerability. However, given its serious nature, we have decided to patch all our systems. No customer action is required and we do not expect the maintenance activities to cause interruption to the Apigee services.

When creating a new page in a portal, if you enter information into the fields in the Create Page dialog and then cancel the operation, that information was being cached. When you click Page again and open the Create Page dialog, the cached information would be displayed. The information from a canceled operation is no longer cached.
TSNOW-1193 Portal File Manager: Clicking upload area twice in a row to upload a file results in an error message
Clicking in the upload files area of the portal file manager results in the following error message: Unsupported file type. Allowed types are: .jpg, .gif, .png, .pdf This issue is no longer relevant, as the drag/upload file area has been removed. You must click File to upload a file.

API key rotation for apps

The concept of current and deprecated application API keys has been added to the portal.

On the My Apps page of the portal, the most recently added API key for an app is considered to be the current key and all other keys are considered and marked as deprecated in the API keys list. The Products list displays the list of API products assigned to the current API key. To minimize the number of API keys displayed, a Keys history link is provided to display all deprecated keys.

The API key actions menu has been added in the Keys list with the following two options:

Option Description
Rotate Create a new API key with the same API product entitlements as the original key. The original API key is marked as deprecated. This menu item is enabled for the current key only.
Deactivate Deactivate the selected API key and prevent its credentials from being accepted. This menu item is enabled only for API keys that are active (status is approved) and deprecated.

SMTP email configuration

When email notifications are sent to app developers, the Apigee corporate email server is used by default. Now, you can configure the SMTP server for the email notifications originating from the portal using the SMTP tab on the Settings page.

APILIFE-1477 Track developer registration and login using custom attribute in Edge
Developer registration and portal login are tracked using the _apiportal custom attribute in Edge.

When a developer self-registers, the _apiportal custom attribute is added to the developer configuration and the developer status is set to unverified to indicate that the developer has not logged into the portal.

If a developer attempts to register an account with an email ID that has already been registered, a message displays indicating that the account already exists and the developer is directed to the Login page. When the developer clicks the link to navigate to the Login page, the email ID for the existing account is pre-populated in the email field.

The first time the developer logs into a portal, the custom attribute is updated to track the portal name and time of access, and set the developer status to active. Each time the developer logs into the portal, the custom attribute is updated to reset the time of access for that portal.
